Code Appliance Meaning Severity
E1 Cooktop The induction cooktop has detected that the internal electronics or a cooking zone have exceeded the maximum safe operating temperature. The affected zone or the entire cooktop is switched off until the unit cools to a safe level. High View details → E2 Cooktop The induction zone cannot detect compatible cookware on the surface, or the pan placed on the zone is too small, not centred, or made of non-ferromagnetic material that the induction coil cannot couple with effectively. Low View details → E3 Cooktop The temperature sensor (NTC thermistor) monitoring the induction coil or glass ceramic surface has failed or is reading a value outside its valid range. The cooktop disables the affected zone until the sensor fault is resolved. High View details → E4 Cooktop An internal communication fault has been detected between the user interface (touch panel) and the main power control board. The cooktop cannot relay user inputs to the cooking zones and disables all cooking functions until communication is restored. High View details → E5 Cooktop The residual heat sensor that triggers the hot surface warning indicator has failed or is reading an implausible value. The cooktop cannot reliably warn users of hot surfaces and may disable affected zones as a precaution. Medium View details → E6 Cooktop The induction cooktop has detected that the incoming supply voltage is outside the acceptable operating range — either too high, too low, or a phase is missing on a three-phase model. The cooktop suspends all cooking to protect its power electronics. High View details → E7 Cooktop The cooktop touch panel is locked — either the child lock feature is active and preventing zone activation, or the control lock circuit has detected an unintended activation and has auto-locked to prevent unsafe operation. Low View details → F1 Dishwasher The dishwasher has not filled with water within the expected time window. The control board detects insufficient water entering the tub, triggering a fill timeout fault on Asko D5000 and DBI series models. Medium View details → F11 Dishwasher The main control board has lost communication with one of the subsidiary modules — typically the user interface display board, the wash motor driver board, or an auxiliary sensor module. F11 indicates an internal electronic communication failure rather than a mechanical fault. High View details → F12 Dishwasher The rinse aid dispenser sensor has reported a fault or the rinse aid reservoir is empty. Asko models with electronic rinse aid monitoring trigger F12 when the dispenser sensor reads an empty or invalid level, or when the dispenser mechanism cannot open during the rinse phase.
