Low Medium High
Code Meaning Severity Common Symptom
E1 Temp sensor fault Medium The drum rotates normally and the fan operates, but after a full drying cycle the laundry comes out as damp as it went in — no heat was applied at any point. View E2 Overheating trip High After the E2 trip the drum housing, exhaust outlet at the rear, and any accessible ductwork feel noticeably hotter than during a normal cycle end — significantly above the usual 60–70 °C operating range. View E3 Moisture sensor fault Low A timed cotton programme that normally takes 50 minutes runs for 90+ minutes and eventually times out rather than detecting dryness — the moisture sensor is not registering the reducing dampness of the load. View E4 Exhaust temp fault Medium The metal exhaust connection at the back of the machine or the rear panel near the heater housing feels much hotter than during a normal cycle, suggesting air is not flowing freely through the exhaust path. View E5 Condensate drain fault Medium On Asko condenser dryers that use a collection tank rather than a direct drain, the tank indicator light is on and the tank is found to be full of water when removed after an E5 fault. View F3 Fan motor fault High The drum spins and the heater activates (drum feels warm) but holding a hand near the exhaust vent shows little or no airflow — the blower fan is not moving air through the system. View F5 Door switch fault Medium Pressing start produces no motor response — the drum does not rotate, the heater does not activate, and F5 is displayed within a few seconds of the start attempt. View
