Is it safe to keep using it?
Depends on code severity. Low/Medium codes often allow continued use, High severity requires immediate stop.
Can error codes be reset?
Some codes clear after power cycle. Persistent codes indicate underlying issues needing repair.
When should I stop using it?
Stop immediately for water leak codes, burning smell, or any High severity error.

Common Symptom
E1
Fridge sensor fault
High
Perishables such as dairy and meat deteriorate more quickly than normal because the compressor runs without accurate temperature feedback, causing the cabinet to run too warm or too cold.
View
E2
Freezer sensor fault
High
Ice cream softens, frozen meat develops ice crystals on the surface, and items that should be solid become partially thawed because the compressor cannot maintain the correct freeze temperature.
View
E3
Defrost sensor fault
Medium
Without working defrost cycles, ice accumulates on the evaporator behind the rear panel. After a week or more the frost can block airflow and reduce cooling efficiency noticeably.
View
E4
Ambient sensor fault
Low
With no ambient temperature data the control board defaults to a conservative cooling strategy, causing the compressor to cycle on more often — noticeable as increased running noise.
View
E5
Evaporator fan fault
High
You can hear the compressor operating and feel cold air at the back panel near the evaporator, but the main compartment does not cool because the fan is not circulating the air.
View
E6
Condenser fan fault
High
Without the condenser fan removing heat, the compressor and condenser coils at the back or bottom of the appliance become very hot — noticeably more than the slight warmth that is normal during operation.
View
E7
Ice maker fault
Low
The ice bin remains empty or ice production has stopped completely, even when the freezer temperature is at the correct level and the water supply is connected.
View
E8
Control board comm error
High
Without reliable communication between the main PCB and the display board, the user interface may freeze, show random symbols, or go completely dark while the appliance continues to run in a default state.
View
E9
Door open or switch fault
Low
If the door switch has failed in the open position, the interior light remains illuminated even when the door is shut, and the control board believes the door is still open.
View
EF
High temperature alarm
High
Dairy products, meat, and other perishables feel warm to the touch or are above 5 °C (41 °F) when checked with a thermometer — indicating a genuine sustained temperature rise inside the cabinet.
