Refill the rinse aid reservoir
Open the dishwasher door and locate the rinse aid cap — a small circular cap with a fan or droplet symbol, usually on the inner door next to the detergent dispenser. Twist the cap to open it. Pour in liquid dishwasher rinse aid until the indicator window shows full (do not overfill — rinse aid on the tub floor causes excessive foam). Close the cap firmly.
Set the rinse aid dosage dial inside the cap to 3 or 4 for average hard water. Increase to 5–6 in very hard water areas.

Clean around the dispenser sensor
Dampen a cloth with warm water and wipe thoroughly inside the dispenser opening, around the sensor window (the small clear or darkened circular window at the base of the dispenser cavity), and on the underside of the cap. Dried rinse aid is sticky — a little warm water and gentle rubbing is usually sufficient.
Avoid using abrasive cloths or cleaning products inside the dispenser cavity as these can scratch the sensor window.

Run a test cycle and observe
Select a Normal cycle. F12 should clear at or before the rinse phase if refilling and cleaning resolved the fault. Check drying results — properly dispensed rinse aid should result in spot-free glasses with the machine's drying program.
